Bonduel 7 Nichols 3

With the game tied in the 8th inning, the Broncos used a three run 8th innning with Jake Reinke, Chris Blum and Greg Henn all crossing the plate. This proved to be the difference as the Broncos get a great Dairyland League win against Nichols, 7-3.

J.C. Reinke (2-0) pitched a complete game going nine innings with nine strikeouts, allowing nine hits and giving up 1 walk. Manager Johnny Reinke stated, "I asked him (J.C.) if he had something left in the seventh. J.C. stated he was fine and that he was going back out there." Leaving him in proved to be the correct decision as J.C. retired all batters in the 8th and 9th inning without surrendering a run.

Leading the Broncos in hitting was Craig Hartlaben who continues to swing a hot bat. He went 3-5 including two doubles. J.C. Reinke helped his cause by going 3-4, Matt Sheelk went 2-5, Chris Blum batted 2-4, and Eric Gruenewald, Greg Henn, Jason Wesenberg, Jake Reinke all earned one hit.

The win moves the Broncos to two games over .500 and gets them their thirteenth victory of the season. It also sends Bonduel into their 31st annual tournament with a two game winning streak.
